New "longest hike since surgery" - 7 miles
It's been 10 weeks since I got my new hip. I'm slowly getting my strength back, but I am already enjoying pain-free sleep and sitting, as well as enjoying not limping. Terry and I did 7.3 miles on Cowle's Mountain this morning, averaging 19:18 per mile. I was very pleased with the hike and now feel that I'm on track for being in sufficiently good shape to complete the Grand Canyon hike 6 weeks from now without being miserable.
