Last chance

I think this is my last chance to be a runner again before "something happens".  By "be a runner" I mean jog for 20 or 30 minutes and not hate it. This month is the 60th anniversary of January 1964 when I started running after watching a track meet on TV. My first run this month was actually 2 weeks ago when I slogged 1 minute. I'm at 5 minutes now and plan to keep it there for a while. I've got various joint issues undoubtedly compounded by weighing 190 pounds and my legs are chronically weak. I think the key to progress toward my modest goal will be weight loss and very gradual increases to running time along with some strength work for my legs. Here we go ....

Today: 5 minutes, 13:27 pace, flat pavement in my neighborhood
