We made it across the Grand Canyon

My buddy Mark and I finally got our chance to hike from one side of the Grand Canyon to the other.
Yesterday we took the TransCanyon Shuttle from the south side of the Grand Canyon to the north side. We spent the night in a cabin on the North Rim and started our hike at 6 a.m. down the North Kaibab Trail. It was 101 degrees when we got to Phantom Ranch for lunch at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, but the clouds came in and the temperature dropped to 92 degrees by the time we started hiking again. We got lucky - it stayed cloudy for the rest of the day. We made sure to stay well hydrated and went slow and easy to the top of the Bright Angel Trail.
