The good news: I had a great time with my mom, sister, and Paul in Mukwonago and then a great time with Rick and his family in Green Bay. Rick & I enjoyed a pre-race dinner of baked salmon at Terry & Mary Vandertie's home and then went back for a post-race feast and extended-family gathering the following day - including Belgian sausages and homemade rhubarb pie. The bad news: the virus that Rick caught on the plane from New Zealand changed his race strategy to run, cough, walk, repeat. We still had fun - lots of good food and lots of great stories from Terry & Mary. This is Rick finishing the race:
Here's a little video footage - before I started having battery problems:
Though it felt like 90 degrees during the race, the temperature somehow dropped to around 70 a little while after the finish. Huh.

8 minute pace for four miles then...
What, your bionic battery dislodged? Pretty healthy pace for running on the surface of the sun. Also good to see Rick's Down-Under-All-Over tan held up so well.
All Movin Shoezers ever'where are proud!
